DJ SWISHH - BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. BOOKING CONFIRMATION

To secure your event date, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit must be paid within 7 days of receiving your invoice; otherwise, the date may be released for other bookings.

The remaining balance must be paid at least one day before the event via online credit card or Visa Debit payment. If payment is not received by this deadline, DJ Swishh reserves the right to cancel the booking, and the deposit will not be refunded.

2. PAYMENT METHODS

All payments must be made online using a credit card or Visa Debit. A secure payment link will be provided on your invoice. Cash payments are not accepted.

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel your booking, the deposit will be refunded in full if more than 30 days’ notice is given. For cancellations made within 30 days of the event, the deposit is non-refundable. If the cancellation occurs within seven days of the event, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking fee will apply.

In the case of force majeure events, such as natural disasters, serious illness, or government restrictions, a full refund will be issued.

4. EVENT REQUIREMENTS

To ensure a smooth and successful DJ setup, the client must provide a covered space of at least 3m x 2m, a reliable power source, and, if necessary, extension cables that are tested and safe for use.

For outdoor events, weather protection such as a marquee or alternative indoor space must be available in case of bad weather.

5. SETUP AND PACK-DOWN

DJ Swishh will arrive in advance to set up and ensure everything is ready before the event begins. The setup process typically takes between 15 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the venue. Pack-down will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

If the DJ is not scheduled to begin immediately, early access to the venue may be requested to allow for setup before guests arrive.

6. MUSIC REQUESTS & PLAYLISTS

Clients are welcome to provide a playlist at least 30 days before the event to help guide the DJ’s music selection. While DJ Swishh will aim to include as many requested songs as possible, not every song may be played, as the setlist is adjusted based on the crowd, event flow, and atmosphere.

If there are must-play songs, these should be highlighted in advance so they can be prioritised.

Guests are welcome to make on-the-night song requests, but these will be subject to DJ discretion, song availability, and whether they fit within the set.

7. EQUIPMENT AND SOUND

The equipment provided will depend on the package selected at the time of booking. DJ Swishh will bring the necessary sound system and DJ controller for all bookings, but additional features such as lighting effects are only included in specific packages.

For example, the Dance All Night package includes lighting, while the Essential Beats package does not. If additional equipment is required, please discuss this with us before the event to check availability and pricing.

The client is responsible for ensuring that guests respect the equipment. If any equipment is damaged due to guest actions, the client may be required to cover repair or replacement costs.

8. ADDITIONAL TIME / OVERTIME

If you would like the DJ to extend their set beyond the scheduled time, this must be requested before the set ends. The DJ reserves the right to decide whether an extension is possible.

If an extension is agreed upon, the rate is $90 per additional hour, and payment must be made immediately before the DJ continues playing.

9. TRAVEL FEES

For events outside the Sunshine Coast, additional travel fees may apply. These will be discussed and agreed upon at the time of booking.

10. COVID-19 POLICY

If government restrictions prevent your event from taking place, DJ Swishh will offer to reschedule your booking at no extra cost, subject to availability.

If rescheduling is not possible, the deposit will be refunded in full.

11. LIABILITY

While DJ Swishh will take every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable event, we cannot be held responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses that occur during the event. The client is responsible for the safety and security of guests, attendees, and the venue.

12. FORCE MAJEURE

In the rare event that unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, power failures, or serious illness prevent DJ Swishh from performing, we will notify you as soon as possible.

If no alternative solution can be arranged, a full refund will be issued. DJ Swishh will not be liable for any additional costs incurred due to cancellations beyond our control.
